What makes you different from other dental practices?
We make time for you. Unlike many other dental practices where you are rushed in and rushed out, we schedule blocks of time, set aside just for you. These “block appointments” give us the time necessary to cater to all your dental needs.

When should my child first see a dentist?
Three to four years old. In our experience, most children age 3 or older are better able to cope with the mysteries of their first dental visit. We want children to have a very positive first experience with us, to make them a great patient in the future.

How often should I have my teeth cleaned?
Every six months. Most dental providers agree that in order to maintain your oral health, you should come in for a dental visit twice per year, or once every 6 months. If you have a more serious problem such as periodontal disease, you may need to come in more frequently to remain stable, usually at three-month intervals.

Why do my gums bleed when I brush or floss my teeth?
Gums bleed because of inflammation caused by bacteria. When plaque is allowed to sit on the teeth for a period of time, bacterial colonies form and produce an infection. Your body senses this infection and starts an inflammatory response, or bleeding of your gum tissue. That’s why regular brushing and flossing and professional cleanings to remove plaque are so important.

What are porcelain veneers?
A Veneer is a thin sheath of porcelain material, which is bonded onto the front surface of a tooth. Veneers are custom made by dental technicians to achieve a nearly exact match to the color and shape of surrounding teeth.
